When discussing the fashion capitals of the world – Paris, London, and Milan, Tel Aviv was not often included in the same sentence, until now. Tel Aviv’s burgeoning, yet under-the-radar fashion scene boasts some of the most need-to-know names, such as Yael Scharaby. Yael Scharaby’s line Andy Ve Eirn captures the effortless luxury seen on the streets of such fashion hubs like New York and London.
Andy VeEirn is a ready-to-wear line for women and men. The line includes intricately designed sweaters, tops, cardigans and scarves. Andy Ve Eirn is available exclusively online and in some of the top boutiques in Israel including Razili, Banker, and Gusta.
Andy VeEirn’s striking individuality lies in the design of the textiles, not just in the final garment. Scharaby’s background as a textile designer allows her to create unique knit patterns from the finest raw materials-all of which are sourced and produced in Israel. Her garments are made of the finest cotton, rayon, and Tencel fibers in partnership with a local high-end textile manufacturer.
“I must be involved in the whole process, even choosing the yarns that will be made into my patterns. I love seeing my vision of how a piece is meant to look, and turning raw material into a beautiful product,” explained Scharaby in an excerpt of her Etsy featured-seller interview. She also says: “Women must be comfortable and chic in their everyday lives, I only design clothes that I would be happy to wear myself”. I think AndyVe Eirn is a breath of fresh air from the average knitwear seen in today’s street wear style. What drives me deeply in love with their items is the minimalism of the pieces, the basic geometric shapes, and the clean lines. I made a short list of my favorite garments from their online shop, so you can get a better idea about their beautiful clothing line.
